Agility Osteopathy South Melbourne - Dr Laura Chapman

Laura is a passionate and dedicated osteopath, having vast experience working in clinics in both Australia and the UK.

After graduating as the top ranked student in the double Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Osteopathy degree at RMIT University, Laura began her career in Melbourne working alongside leading Osteopaths gaining valuable experience in obstetric, paediatric, geriatric, sporting and general practice osteopathy.

Laura’s passion for travel and adventure has taken her all around the world, volunteering her time and skills in various orphanages in Africa and Thailand and working in a variety of locations, most recently a four year stint in the United Kingdom.

Her time in London was spent providing outstanding osteopathic care to the Houses of Parliament, Westminster, and the City of London as well as the Fulham Irish Gaelic Football and Hurling Club. This experience encouraged her to pursue a particular interest in functional exercises, rehabilitation and biomechanics through a Certification in Applied Functional Science with the Gray Institute (CAFS). This certification allows Laura to design tailored rehabilitation programs utilising functional movements unique to each patient’s goal, whether it be returning to an elite sport, weekend activities, or simply working in the garden.

Laura combines manual osteopathic medicine, dry needling and functional rehabilitation not only as a way to achieve effective pain relief, but to help promote injury prevention while improving individual performance and lifestyle. Her unique approach to patient care encases clinical excellence and evidence based practice, partnered with a compassionate and genuine interest in her patients and optimising their health.

Laura recognises that life is all about balance. Her aim is not only to introduce each and every patient to their optimal health, but to prevent further occurrences of pain and dysfunction by promoting a stronger, more balanced approach to health & well being.

Laura is also a mother to two gorgeous young children – one of her most rewarding roles to date.

Agility Osteopathy South Melbourne - Dr Sarah Meade

Sarah is here to not only help you get back to your best physical self but to also maintain your peak performance long after you have left the consulting room.

As an osteopath, Sarah believes in working together with her patients through their journey to better health. Sarah tailors each treatment and management plan taking into account each patient’s lifestyle and goals (no matter how big or small) to fast-track them to where they want to be.

Sarah has a keen interest in rehabilitative exercise; whether it’s for occupational injuries, postural strain or injuries that have resulted from sporting activities. She has a strong belief in being proactive rather than reactive when it comes to well-being and develops exercise programs that will help prevent re-injury and are also enjoyable. Throughout her hands on treatment, Sarah utilises a wide range of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue massage, manipulation, joint mobilisation and dry needling to ensure each patient receives exceptional care.

It was Sarah’s own history of sporting injuries which drew her to osteopathy, understanding what it means to have a trusted health professional by your side through the often difficult recovery (both physically and mentally) after an injury.

In addition to her double Bachelor of Applied Science and Health Science (Osteopathy) degree from RMIT University, Sarah has completed additional training in geriatric osteopathy. Age is no barrier when it comes to wanting to improve one’s health and quality of life and Sarah can help navigate the nuances that can sometimes come with age.

When not helping her patients achieve their optimal health, you are likely to find Sarah being active herself – enjoying a wide range of sports and activities including pilates, surfing, going to the gym or catching up with friends for a run or a long walk.
